• Rent a space and locker in The Quiet Studio, designed specially for entrepreneurs, researchers, writers, and creative people.
• Eat and drink at our café. Our coffee is freshly brewed, our sandwiches and wraps are delicious, and we bake sweet and savoury treats every day.

Support Our Work

PeaceNiche, a progressive non-profit organization, was seed funded through family investments and the kind patronage of well-wishers. Since our inception in 2007, we have hosted over 200 events, ranging from poetry readings and film screenings, to vibrant debates on critical issues. We have contributed to revitalizing Karachi’s cultural landscape and have provided an alternative, independent, safe space for discourse.

Now we need YOU!

It’s not easy or cheap running a space like T2F and Faraar. Our team is tiny and we have no funding. As part of our commitment to intellectual and cultural poverty alleviation, our high quality events are mostly free or very low-priced. This is a very conscious decision. We believe it is imperative that people have access to arts, culture, technology, important thinkers and role models, and so, we do not want cost to ever be a deterrent. And here lies our challenge ...

Driven by idealism, we are confident that we can get by with a little help from our friends. By patronizing our café, bookshop and art gallery, and by using our facilities, you can help us become sustainable and enable us to deliver on our vision of intellectual poverty alleviation.

Our Projects

Science Ka Adda (SkA)

SkA is a forum for debate and discussion about science issues and for promoting public engagement with science. It is part of the global Café Scientifique movement.

Urdu Poetry Preservation (UPP)

UPP is an archival project to preserve and share Pakistan’s rich heritage of Urdu poetry. Recordings of historical private and public mushaeras have been digitized and are currently being compiled.
